I was born and raised and still live in Florida — all of my 80 years. I can honestly say Florida is a wonderfully awesome place to live. We are surrounded by natural beauty— the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico and have thousands of lakes, streams, springs, ponds, and beautiful swamps and the Everglades. There are beautiful birds of all kinds including Eagles, cranes, pelicans, egrets, blue jays, woodpeckers, hawks, etc. and an assortment of magnificent trees with awesome spanish moss draping the brances. We have an abundance of flowers and beautiful buttterflies and bees and all kinds of insects. As i look around our state, i am always amazed at the natual beauty we have and remember growing up and playing in the yard in the black dirt and sand where we would grow our fruits and vegetables. Our state has a long history of being Spanish immigrants and Seminole indians and more recently Cuba. Florida is a beautiful and peaceful place to live. It holds a lifetime of memories for me and I expect to die here and have my ashes thrown in the beautiful atlantic ocean.
